Parties
Every year we organise some major and quite stylish social events which bring large numbers of members together. Usually we subsidise these from club funds so the ticket price to members is below cost. In a recent year we had a dinner dance to mark our 70th Anniversary in the ballroom of the Amba Charing Cross Hotel with over 100 guests where we were joined by members of other IVCs around the country. Every year we fill to capacity the main dining room at the Civil Service Club for our Christamas dinner. Our popular Summer and Christmas parties are held every year. These include a live band, disco and buffet. We are presently planning to expand the programme of major social events. |
