Parties
Every year we organise some major and quite stylish social events which bring large numbers of members together. Usually we subsidise these from club funds so the ticket price to members is below cost.
In August 2017 we had a dinner dance to mark our 70th Anniversary in the ballroom of the Amba Charing Cross Hotel with over 100 guests where we will be joined by members of other IVCs around the country.
Last year on a lovely summer evening we had our Summer Party in the Great Hall of the Thames Rowing Club in Putney overlooking the river. For our Christmas Dinner we filled to capacity the Dining Room of the Civil Service Club in Whitehall. Recent years have seen summer garden parties in the country, barbecues at Doggett's Coat and Badge and Christmas dinners on The Yacht and in a Covent Garden brasserie.
We also enjoy some more informal parties at a Covent Garden venue approximately every quarter with one or more live bands lined up and followed by a disco.
