A vigorous walk with beautiful views, I have done several times, on my own and with various groups. Today we are walking it from Eastbourne to Seaford, taking the bus back to Eastbourne for the return train journey.

"The Seven Sisters cliffs walk is probably one of the most well known hikes that you can do as a day trip from London.  Also, the fact that you can get to the Seven Sisters cliffs from London in about 1.5 hours, makes it a perfect outdoorsy day trip hike. It’s also extremely easy to navigate. In fact, it’s impossible to get lost, and I challenge anyone to do so.

Some may ... say it’s challenging. There are a bunch of hills, that really get your heart rate up, but they don’t go on for that long. ... it’s the length of the walk that makes it harder as opposed to the hills." However, there are various drop out points if you wish to do a shorter walk or struggling, where you can get the bus back to Eastbourne.  It is very user friendly that way.
Suggested itinerary:  London Victoria Sta. 9.24 train to Easbourne, arrive 10.51.  Briefing.  Start hike 11am 13 miles to Seaford.  Arrive @ 17.25, then 12X bus from Sutton Park Road (library) to Eastbourne.  Then 18.33 return train to Eastbourne, gets into Victoria 20.06.
