Welcome to London IVC
The best club to socialise and make new friends in London.
As we face changes in our personal and working lives, who has not wondered whether we are getting enough out of life and really making the most of all London has to offer. See what we have to offer by viewing our diary, which is frequently updated with new events. Full details are only visible to logged in members. Like what you see? The annual membership fee is only £25. This follows a trial period when you can evaluate what we have to offer. Click on Welcome and then Trial Membership at the top of the page to join. London IVC hosts the best value for money wine tastings in the capital. On Saturday 7th 15 of us enjoyed a brilliant tasting of the full range of English wine types made from the Pinot Noir grape. This is a difficult grape but England's climate and soil suit it well with Essex being a major area for this fussy grape. The evening was hosted by Pauline Reith of wines4all who is an authority on English wines. We tasted sparling white, white, sparkling rose, still rose and red wines - all of an excellent quality. And the evening started with an English Pinot Noir gin. English wines are improving dramatically and Pauline showed us some superb examples.
The tasting was held in Caroline's beautiful and comfortable flat. We greatly enjoyed generous quantities of her carefully prepared vegan cookery - a complete meal of starter, main course and dessert.
And the whole event cost only £25 each - an absolute bargain
We hold wine tastings every month. If you love wine join London IVC.
![]() Around 35 IVC members and guests enjoyed a fabulous Open Mic "IVC's Got Talent" evening at The Washington in Belsize Park on Saturday Jan 31st. The evening showcased performers from the club playing guitar, saxophone, flute and keyboards, singers and poets. An excellent buffet was also provided. Performers paid only £5 admission and non-performers £10, the event being subsidised by the club.
This was the first outing for the new IVC keyboard, played by Frank Harrison who performed both classical and popular music. I was pleased to have a chance to play guitar before a live audience for the first time following excellent guitar classes from Paul Danson who also did a great job of looking after the evenings proceedings.
