Meet London Marylebone outside ticketing area 09.30 am to take the 09.57 train (£8.55 with railcard or group saver) towards Aylesbury. Buy return ticket to Wendover, due to arrive 10.45. Walk starts from Wendover station car park 10.50 am. Dress for the weather and pack extra warm clothing as well.  At least pack some water some snacks or even perhaps a picnic lunch and flask. 

It may be icy or muddy so please consider wearing appropriate footwear and if you have a walking pole please bring it to aid you.

The walk will start from the exit of Wendover station and will initially go through the town connecting with the Ridgeway and Chiltern Link paths, and there will be some steep ascents up wooded paths. 

Just overlooking the Hale we will divert north off the Ridgeway towards on a lesser path to connect with the Wendover Woods café (HP22 5NF).  Where we will stop outside for lunch or go in if cold and if it isn’t
